## Should you patch the tire or replace it?

## Should you replace two tires or all four?

Two tires can be fine on many two-wheel-drive cars when the other pair has plenty of tread. On many AWD vehicles, a large difference in tread depth between tires can strain the drivetrain, so the owner manual may require all four.

## Tow dolly or auto transport trailer for a car?

A tow dolly lifts only the front wheels, so the rear wheels roll on the road. An auto transport trailer carries all four wheels. That difference matters for all-wheel-drive and many rear-wheel-drive cars, which can be damaged if driven wheels turn while the engine is off.

## AC recharge or leak repair?

Refrigerant does not wear out, so a system that is low has a leak somewhere. A recharge by itself buys cold air for a short time. A leak repair fixes the reason it went warm. The only time a recharge alone fits is right after a repair has opened and resealed the system.

### Which axle gets the new tires if I only buy two?

In most cases the new pair goes on the rear axle, because rear grip helps keep the car stable in wet conditions. Your vehicle maker may say otherwise, so we check the manual and your tread depths before mounting.

### Will an independent shop void my warranty?

Routine maintenance done to the manufacturer specs, with records kept, should not void a warranty on its own. Keep your invoices. Warranty repairs and recalls still go through the dealer.

### Why not always replace rotors with pads?

Because good rotors do not need replacing. We measure them. If they are within spec, smooth and not causing a pulsation, replacing them adds cost without fixing anything. If they measure bad, we show you the numbers and photos.

### Is a bigger truck always safer for a move?
