This page answers the questions the front desk hears most about Goodyear Elite Tire Upland: tires, repairs, U-Haul rentals, visiting, paying, waiting and car care between visits. In short, you get a written estimate before work, tires often go on the same day when the size is in stock, and U-Haul reservations are by phone at (909) 608-7699.
Tire questions
The shop sells and installs Goodyear tires and fits the sizes that go on everyday cars, SUVs, pickups and work vans. Most tire questions come down to three things: which size your vehicle takes, whether a damaged tire can be repaired, and how soon the work can happen.
Have the size ready when you call. It is printed on the sidewall and repeated on the driver door sticker. See new tires and brands for how we match load index and speed rating to how you drive.
Repair questions
Repairs here start with an inspection and photos, not a guess. Brakes, batteries, air conditioning, check engine diagnostics, suspension, cooling, exhaust, belts and hoses, fluids, transmission service, diesel maintenance, pre-purchase inspections and fleet work all happen on this lot. If a job needs a specialist, we say so first. The full list is on services.
U-Haul rental questions
This lot is a U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer, so moving trucks, cargo vans, cargo and utility trailers, tow dollies and auto transport trailers sit beside the service bays. Availability changes daily and reservations are by phone only, so call (909) 608-7699 to reserve.
At pickup and return we walk around the equipment with you and check fuel, cleanliness and lights. See U-Haul rentals for the full equipment list.
Visiting the shop
The shop is at 1775 W Foothill Blvd, Upland, CA 91786, with tire work, repairs and rentals on one lot. Weekday hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. For Saturday, call (909) 608-7699 to confirm. Sunday is closed.
Booking online is a request, not a fixed slot. Send a booking request and we call or text to confirm a time. Directions and a map are on hours and directions.
Estimates, payment and warranty
You see the number before any work. We inspect first, photograph what matters, and write the estimate with safety needs separated from items that can wait. You approve what you want done, and if we find something new during the job, we stop and ask.
Warranty terms depend on the part and the job, and they are printed on your paperwork rather than posted here. When you pick up the car, the invoice should match the approved estimate. More on that in transparent pricing.
Waiting or dropping off
It depends on the job. Quick, predictable work such as mounting tires that are already on the shelf, a rotation or an oil change is usually a wait when a bay is free. Anything that starts with finding out why goes better as a drop-off, because testing can lead to a call and an approval before the repair begins.
| Job type | Usually a wait | Usually a drop-off |
|---|---|---|
| Tires in stock, rotation, balance | Yes | Only if the bays are full |
| Oil change, wipers, cabin filter | Yes | If you are bundling other work |
| Brake inspection | Often | If rotors or calipers need parts |
| Warning light, noise, AC blowing warm | Rarely | Yes |
| Several repairs on one estimate | No | Yes |
Tell us your preference when we call or text to confirm your time.
What to have ready before you call
A few details let the front desk give you a useful answer on the first call instead of the third. Have the year, make and model, the mileage, and a short description of what you notice and when it happens.
- Tire size: the full code printed on the sidewall or the door sticker.
- Symptom timing: cold start, on the freeway, when braking, or only with the AC on.
- Dash lights: which light, its color, and whether it is steady or flashing.
- Recent work: new tires, a recent alignment, or a part replaced somewhere else.
- Rental plans: move date, pickup time, and what you are towing with, if anything.
A flashing check engine light, a soft brake pedal or a temperature gauge climbing on the grade up Foothill means stop driving and call.
Car care between visits
Inland heat, crowded freeways and steep foothill roads are hard on tires, batteries and brakes, while dry months let wipers and tread slide out of mind. A few simple habits catch most of that early.
Checking pressure, tread and wiper blades is reasonable at home. Leave TPMS programming, alignment and brake hydraulics to a shop. See maintenance tips.
Where to read more
When a question needs more than a paragraph, one of the longer resources walks through it step by step. Pick the row that matches your question.
| Your question | Where to read |
|---|---|
| Squeal, grind or a pulsing pedal | Brake safety guide |
| Tire age, pressure and wear | Tire care and safety guide |
| Which truck or trailer fits the move | U-Haul size guide |
| A word on your estimate you do not know | Glossary |
Still not sure? Call (909) 608-7699 and ask.
