Most of what rolls into the bays at 1775 W Foothill Blvd is ordinary daily transportation: commuter sedans, compact and three-row SUVs, half-ton pickups, minivans, and the vans that trades and delivery businesses run all day. If it is a light-duty vehicle that fits a standard bay and a standard lift, we can usually inspect it and tell you what it needs.

That covers:

• Cars: sedans, coupes, hatchbacks, and compact cars, domestic and imported.
• Crossovers and SUVs: car-based crossovers up through body-on-frame full-size SUVs.
• Trucks: midsize and full-size pickups, including 4WD and lifted trucks within reason.
• Vans: minivans, cargo vans, and passenger vans used by families, churches, schools, and small fleets.
• Powertrains: gasoline, light-duty diesel, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric (with the limits explained below).

We start from the vehicle in front of us, not a menu. A 9-year-old commuter car with 140,000 miles and a new electric crossover can both come in for "a pull to the right," and the fix is rarely the same. The technician reads the owner's schedule, looks at wear, takes photos, and then the advisor writes the number down before any work starts.

What that looks like in practice

1. Your words first. You describe the noise, pull, light, or smell the way you noticed it.
2. Inspection with photos. Tread, brake pads, leaks, bushings, and belts get photographed so you see what we see. Our digital vehicle inspections page shows how that report reads.
3. Need versus want. Safety items that should be fixed now are listed apart from items that can wait for the next visit.
4. Written estimate. Parts, labor, and any fees are on paper before you approve.
5. Invoice matches. If something changes once the job is open, we stop and call you first.

The vehicle type changes what we look at hardest. A pickup that tows gets extra attention on rear brakes, hitch wiring, and differential fluid. A hybrid gets a close look at brake calipers that barely move. A cargo van gets checked for load-related tire wear.

Driving around Upland is hard on parts in three specific ways: heat, grades, and traffic that never settles into a steady pace. Knowing which one your vehicle faces most tells you what to inspect first.

A sedan that only commutes on the freeway wears tires evenly and brakes slowly. A work van making twenty stops on Foothill does the opposite. A family SUV heading to the mountains in summer puts heat into the cooling system climbing and into the brakes coming back down. We ask how you drive because it tells us where to look.

Yes, for the systems that are not high-voltage. Hybrids and EVs still ride on tires, stop with brakes, steer through a suspension, and start from a 12-volt battery. Those are everyday jobs for us, and they are the jobs these owners often wait longest for at a dealer.

What we handle on hybrids and EVs:

• Tires sized and load-rated for the vehicle, mounting, balancing, and TPMS
• Four-wheel alignment and suspension inspection
• Brake pads, rotors, calipers, and brake fluid
• The 12-volt battery and its terminals
• Cabin air filters, wipers, and general inspection

What we refer out: anything on the high-voltage side, which includes the orange cables, the traction battery, the inverter, and the drive motor. That work needs specific training and equipment, and we would rather send you to the right place than guess. Being clear about limits saves you a trip and a diagnostic bill that goes nowhere. These jobs are outside what we do, and we will say so when you call.

• High-voltage hybrid and EV repair: traction battery, orange cabling, inverters, and drive motors.
• Heavy-duty commercial trucks: vehicles beyond light-duty pickups and vans. Call to confirm if yours is a larger chassis.
• Body and paint work: collision repair, dents, and refinishing.
• Anything we cannot inspect safely: vehicles that will not fit the lift, or modifications we cannot verify.

When a job belongs elsewhere, we tell you before any fee applies. If part of the job is ours (for example, tires and brakes on an EV that also needs battery work), we do our part and write down what the specialist should look at.

A long trip or a trailer turns small problems into roadside problems. Heat builds in brakes on long descents, tires run hotter at freeway speed with a load, and a weak battery gives up after a day parked in the sun at a trailhead.

Before you go, check:

• Tire pressure set to the door-jamb number for a loaded vehicle, spare included
• Tread depth and the four-digit date code on every tire
• Brake pad thickness and fluid condition
• Coolant level and hose condition
• Battery test result, especially after two summers
• Hitch, ball, and trailer lights if you are towing

• By origin: domestic, Japanese, Korean, and European makes.
• By brand: Toyota, Honda, Ford, Chevrolet, Tesla, and others.
• By model: common local vehicles such as the Camry, RAV4, Tacoma, F-150, and Model Y.

Each page explains how that group wears in local driving, which services matter most, and what you can reasonably put off. If your vehicle is not listed, it does not mean we will not work on it. Call and ask.

You can wait for shorter jobs like tire mounting or an oil change, or leave the vehicle for inspections and repairs. Either way, the order of events stays the same.

1. The advisor writes down your concern and gives you a time window.
2. The technician inspects and photographs what matters.
3. You get a written estimate with need and want separated.
4. Nothing extra happens without your approval.
5. Brake, alignment, and vibration jobs get a road test before you get the keys.
6. The advisor walks you through the invoice, which should match the estimate.
