To reserve a U-Haul at this location, call (909) 608-7699. Reservations are by phone only. Have your pickup and return dates ready, whether the move is in-town or one-way, your destination city, what you are moving, and your tow vehicle details if you are renting a trailer or tow dolly. We confirm size and pickup time on the call.

Why are reservations by phone only?

Because the right rental depends on details a web form tends to skip. On the phone we can ask how many rooms you have, whether there is a piano or a second fridge, and whether your SUV has a hitch at all. That short back-and-forth prevents the two most common moving-day problems: the wrong size and the wrong hitch.

We do not show live availability online. Equipment moves in and out of the lot every day, so the person answering (909) 608-7699 checks what can be ready for your date. If the size you want is not available, we tell you on the call and talk through the next best option, such as a larger truck or a truck plus trailer.

What should you have ready when you call?

Five pieces of information make the call quick. Jot them down first, and the whole thing usually takes a few minutes.

  1. Your dates. The pickup day and the day you expect to return, plus a rough pickup time. Our hours are Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM; for Saturday, call to confirm.
  2. In-town or one-way. In-town rentals come back to this lot. One-way rentals drop at a U-Haul location in another city. See in-town rentals and one-way rentals.
  3. Your destination. For one-way moves, the city and state you are heading to.
  4. What you are moving. Number of rooms, the biggest furniture, appliances, and anything unusual like a gun safe, a motorcycle or a riding mower.
  5. Tow vehicle details. If you want a trailer or tow dolly: the year, make and model of the vehicle doing the towing, whether it has a hitch receiver, the ball size if you know it, and the plug type on the wiring. If you are towing a car, have that car's year, make, model and drive type (front, rear, all or four-wheel drive).

Not sure about the hitch? Tell us that. We check it in person, and the free towing inspection page explains what we look at.

How far ahead should you call?

Call as soon as your dates are set. Month-end weekends are the busiest time for moving trucks, because many leases end on the last day of the month. Weekday pickups are usually easier to line up than weekends.

Shorter notice can still work when the size you need is on the lot and we are open for pickup. We will tell you honestly on the call whether your date looks realistic. If it does not, we can suggest a different day, a different size, or a truck plus trailer combination that still gets everything moved.

What does a reservation call sound like?

Most calls follow the same short path. Knowing it ahead of time means you are not hunting for answers while someone waits on the line.

Part of the callWhat we typically askWhat to keep handy
OpeningPickup date and a rough timeA calendar with a backup date
The loadRooms, biggest pieces, appliancesYour tape measure numbers
The tripIn-town or one-way, destination cityThe city and state you are heading to
TowingVehicle year, make, model and hitchA photo of your hitch and plug
Read-backEverything repeated to youPen and paper

The table shows a typical flow, not a script. If your move is unusual, such as a storage unit plus a house, or two pickups on one day, say so at the start. Equipment options and specs get confirmed on the call, not guessed from a website.

A photo of the back of your vehicle helps more than people expect. If you cannot tell what kind of plug you have, snap a picture before you dial and describe it.

What happens after you call?

We repeat back the details so nothing gets lost: dates, pickup time, equipment type and size, in-town or one-way, and the destination if there is one. If you are renting a trailer or dolly, we note your tow vehicle so we can confirm it is a match for that equipment.

If anything about your reservation changes on our side, we call you at the number you gave us. If something changes on your side, call (909) 608-7699 and ask what can be adjusted. We will explain the change terms for your rental when you reserve, so there are no surprises later.

Still deciding on size? Our which truck size page is a good read before you dial.

What should you bring on pickup day?

Bring a valid driver's license for the person driving and the payment details you plan to use. We confirm anything else your rental needs when you reserve. Plan for about the time it takes to do a walkaround and, for trailers, the hitch check.

Useful things to bring along:

  • Your phone, charged: for photos of fuel, odometer and existing damage.
  • Your tow vehicle: if you are renting a trailer or dolly, it has to be here for the hookup and light test.
  • Moving blankets and straps: plan to bring your own unless we confirm supplies on the call.
  • Gloves: coupler latches and dolly straps can be grimy.

At pickup we walk the rental with you, note fuel and cleanliness, test the lights, and answer questions about the ramp, door and mirrors before you leave.

What reservation mistakes should you avoid?

Most rental headaches start at the reservation, not on the road. The fixes are simple once you know them.

  • Guessing the size from the listing name. Tell us the actual furniture instead. Room counts are rough.
  • Forgetting the hitch. A trailer reservation without a working hitch on your vehicle is a wasted trip. Ask about our hitch and tow package guidance first.
  • Booking the return too tight. Loading and unloading usually take longer than planned. Build in time.
  • Skipping the drive type on a towed car. All-wheel and four-wheel drive cars usually need an auto transport, not a dolly.

When in doubt, over-explain on the call. It costs nothing and saves a second trip.

Frequently asked questions

Can I reserve a 10-foot truck for Saturday?

Call (909) 608-7699 to ask. Saturday hours need to be confirmed by phone, and weekend trucks book up first, especially at month-end. If Saturday pickup is not possible, we can look at a Friday pickup or a different size that fits your load.

Can I reserve a one-way truck with you?

Yes. Tell us the destination city and state, the date you want to leave and roughly how many days you need. The drop-off location is set with the reservation, and we confirm it with you before you leave the lot.

Who handles U-Haul reservations at your shop?

Reservations go through the shop phone line at (909) 608-7699. The person who answers can check equipment for your date, recommend a size and note your tow vehicle details for trailer or dolly rentals.

Do I need to know my hitch ball size before I call?

It helps, but it is not required. If you do not know it, say so. We measure the ball and check the receiver, pin, chains and wiring at pickup as part of the free towing inspection, and we tell you if anything needs to change.

Can I pick up a cargo trailer this afternoon?

Sometimes. It depends on whether a trailer is on the lot and whether we have time before closing to do the hookup and light test. Call (909) 608-7699 and we will give you a straight answer.

Can I call on a Sunday to reserve?

The shop is closed Sunday, so plan to call Monday to Friday between 8 AM and 5 PM. Saturday hours need to be confirmed by phone. If you are aiming at a month-end weekend, call early in the week so there is time to line up the size you need.

What if I need to change or cancel my reservation?

Call (909) 608-7699 as soon as you know. Change and cancellation terms are explained when you reserve and can depend on the equipment and dates. The earlier you call, the more room there usually is to move the date or switch the size.
