Goodyear Elite Tire Upland is a tire and auto repair shop on West Foothill Blvd that also serves as a U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer. The lot has served drivers under a former name, and the business now runs under this one. What has not changed is the work: get the car safe, say what can wait, and write the number first.
Where does the shop's story start?
It starts with a lot on West Foothill Blvd that has been a place to get cars fixed for a while. The business changed names, and the new name brings Goodyear tires to the front of what we do. The goal did not change: send drivers back onto Foothill safe, without a second stop across town.
If you knew this location by its earlier name, the name change page explains what changed and what stayed the same. Same lot, new name.
What does experience mean at this shop?
We would rather show experience than claim it. Experience shows up in habits: measuring before replacing, photographing before recommending, road-testing before handing back keys, and knowing which repairs can safely wait. Those habits come from seeing the same problems many times, on commuter sedans, work trucks, and family SUVs.
We do not post years in business, staff biographies, or certifications on this page until they are verified and ready to publish. When they are, they will appear on meet the team and certifications and training. If you want to know who is working on your car, ask at the desk.
Why does one shop do tires, repairs, and U-Haul?
Because the people who come to this corner of Foothill often need more than one of those things. A move needs a truck, and the car that follows it needs good tires. A work truck needs brakes and sometimes a trailer. Putting tire work, mechanical repair, and rentals on one lot cuts the errands in half.
- Goodyear and other tire brands, installed and aligned here
- Full mechanical repair, from oil to diagnostics
- U-Haul trucks, vans, and trailers, reserved by phone at (909) 608-7699
What have customers taught us?
Customers have been clear about what makes a shop visit go wrong. Surprise fees. A number at pickup that is higher than the number on the phone. An inspection that missed something. Silence when the job ran long. A rental truck returned dirty by the last person. Each of those turned into a rule here.
| What went wrong elsewhere | Our rule |
|---|---|
| Surprise fees | Fees said and written before work |
| Invoice higher than the quote | Invoice matches the approved estimate |
| Missed inspection items | Photos and a checklist on inspections |
| Silence on delays | We contact you before the time window runs out |
| Dirty or low-fuel rental | Every U-Haul is walked out and back |
The full list of standards is on transparent pricing.
How does the promise work at the counter and in the bay?
At the counter, the promise is about words and paper: your concern written the way you said it, a time window, and a written estimate before work. In the bay, it is about evidence: measurements, photos, torque, and a road test. The two halves meet at approval, when you see what the technician found and decide.
| At the counter | In the bay |
|---|---|
| Your concern written in your own words | Inspection in a fixed order, so nothing is skipped |
| Your phone number and call or text preference confirmed | Photos of anything worn, leaking, or damaged |
| A time window for the first update | Measurements such as pad thickness and tread depth |
| Any diagnostic fee said before testing | Work paused if something new turns up |
| Invoice walked through at pickup | Road test after brakes, alignment, and drivability work |
The step-by-step version of a visit is on the what to expect page.
How does the shop handle a complaint or a comeback?
The same way every time: listen, inspect first, then decide. If a problem returns after a repair, the car comes back in and the technician looks before anyone argues about the cause. If the shop caused it, the fix is on us, without debate. If something else caused it, you see the photos and get a written estimate.
- Call (909) 608-7699 and describe what came back.
- The car is booked in as soon as the schedule allows.
- The technician inspects and photographs what is wrong.
- The advisor explains the cause in plain words.
- Shop-caused problems are fixed at no charge; other causes get a written estimate.
- The cause is logged so the same mistake is less likely to repeat.
A complaint is not an attack on the shop. It is the most useful information we get. The formal terms are on the service guarantees page.
What can you check for yourself on a first visit?
You do not need to take the shop's word for any of this. On a first visit, a handful of simple checks tell you whether the promise is being kept. If any answer is no, say so at the desk, because that is exactly the feedback the shop needs.
- Was your concern repeated back to you before the car went in?
- Did you get a time window, and an update if it slipped?
- Were you told about any fee before testing started?
- Did every recommendation come with a photo or a measurement?
- Were optional items labeled apart from needed ones?
- Did the invoice match the estimate you approved, line by line?
Where is the shop headed?
The plan is simple: earn reviews under this name one clean visit at a time, keep the phone number and hours consistent everywhere, and keep publishing plain-English guides that help drivers make decisions. We would rather grow slowly on real proof than quickly on borrowed claims. See our process for how each visit is run.
What should a good visit here feel like?
It should feel calm and clear. You explain the problem once, and the advisor repeats it back so you know it was heard. You get a time window and an update if it changes. You see photos before any recommendation, read the number before any work, and leave knowing what was done and what to watch for next.
If any part of that did not happen on your visit, tell the desk. Those moments are how the shop gets better, and they matter more to us than a quick five-star rating.
