At Goodyear Elite Tire Upland, you pay at pickup, after the walkthrough, once you have compared the invoice with your approved estimate. Cards are accepted. Financing may be available for larger jobs through an outside provider that is still being confirmed, so ask at the desk. We do not quote rates or promise approval.

When do you pay for the work?

At pickup, after the job is finished and the advisor has walked you through it. That order matters. You see what was done, compare the invoice with the estimate you approved, and ask any questions before any money changes hands. If a line does not match, it gets explained or corrected first.

For jobs with a diagnostic fee, the fee is said and written before testing, and it appears on the same invoice. Nothing is charged that was not on an approved estimate.

What payment methods are accepted?

Cards are accepted at the desk. If you plan to pay another way, call (909) 608-7699 to confirm before your visit so there is no surprise at the counter. Fleet and business accounts can ask about billing setup through the fleet account inquiry.

U-Haul rentals follow U-Haul's own payment process. Ask about it when you call to reserve.

Is financing available?

Financing may be available for bigger tickets, like a set of tires or a brake job on both axles. The provider is still being confirmed, so we do not name one here. Ask at the desk and the advisor will tell you what is available that day.

A few things will always be true:

  • The lender decides approval and sets terms, not the shop.
  • We do not quote interest rates or say approval is certain.
  • The written estimate is the same whether you finance or pay in full.

The financing options page covers which jobs people usually finance and questions to ask a lender.

What if the estimate is more than you planned?

Talk to the advisor before you decide. Every estimate separates needed-now work from can-wait work, so the first step is often to approve the safety items today and schedule the rest. That can bring the bill down without leaving anything unsafe on the road.

How do approvals protect what you pay?

Every dollar on the invoice has to trace back to an approval. You approve the first estimate by signature or text, and any new finding needs its own approval on a revised estimate. Work that was not approved is not done and not billed. That chain is what lets the total at pickup match what you agreed to.

  • First estimate: approved before any repair starts.
  • New finding: work pauses, you get a photo and a revised estimate.
  • Declined item: stays off the invoice and is noted for later.
  • Record: who approved, when, and how, kept with your file.

If you want to understand each line before approving, the cost and pricing guide explains parts, labor, and fees in plain words.

What does the invoice show?

The invoice lists every part by name, labor for each job, any diagnostic fee, shop supplies, and tax. It carries the warranty terms from your estimate and notes any can-wait items with a suggested check date. Keep it: it is your service record, it helps with tire warranty claims, and it shows a future buyer how the car was maintained. More on the numbers: how pricing works.

What happens if the invoice does not match the estimate?

You do not pay until it is sorted out. Point to the line that looks different, and the advisor explains it on the spot. If it is an error, it is corrected before payment. If it is a line you approved on a revised estimate, the advisor shows you that approval, with the time and how it was given.

What you noticeWhat happens
A line you did not approveRemoved before you pay
A total higher than the estimateChecked line by line and corrected
A fee you were not told aboutExplained, and removed if it was not stated first
A revised estimate you forgotThe recorded approval is shown to you

The formal terms behind estimates are on the estimate disclaimer page.

What should you check before you pay?

A quick check at the counter protects you and keeps the record clean. The advisor will go through these with you, but it helps to know them ahead of time. It takes a couple of minutes and saves a phone call later.

  1. The total matches the estimate you approved.
  2. Every part named on the estimate appears on the invoice.
  3. Any diagnostic fee is the one you were told before testing.
  4. Declined items are not on the bill.
  5. Warranty terms are written on the invoice.
  6. Can-wait items have a suggested check date.

If any of those is off, say so before paying. It is much easier to sort out at the desk than after you drive away. For how estimates are built in the first place, see the transparent pricing promise.

What should you keep after you pay?

Keep the invoice and the estimate together. The invoice records the parts, the date, and the mileage, which matter for warranty questions. The estimate shows the can-wait items and when to check them. Together they give you a service history that helps at your next visit and when you sell the car.

  • The paid invoice, paper or digital
  • The approved estimate and any revised versions
  • The inspection photos, if they were shared with you
  • The alignment printout, if the car was aligned
  • The next-visit mileage or date the advisor wrote down

Frequently asked questions

Can I pay when I pick the car up?

Yes. Payment happens at pickup, after the walkthrough, once you have compared the invoice with your approved estimate. Cards are accepted.

Do you offer financing for tires and brakes?

Financing may be available through an outside provider that is still being confirmed. Ask at the desk for current options. We do not quote rates or promise approval.

Do I have to pay before you start?

Payment is at pickup. Before work starts, you approve a written estimate. If testing is needed, the diagnostic fee is stated first and included on the final invoice.

Can a business get billed instead of paying at the counter?

Billing arrangements are set up with each business. Send a fleet account inquiry, and we will call to talk through what works for your vehicles.

Is financing better than paying the repair bill up front?

It depends on the lender terms and your budget. Paying in full avoids interest and fees. Financing can help when a needed repair cannot wait. Read any lender terms before you sign, and ask the advisor whether some items can safely wait instead.

Do you take payment for U-Haul rentals at the same desk?

U-Haul rentals follow U-Haul payment steps. Call (909) 608-7699 when you reserve, and we will explain how payment works for your rental before pickup day.

What if I find a problem with the bill after I get home?

Call (909) 608-7699 and have your invoice and estimate in front of you. The advisor will go through the lines with you. If something was charged that you did not approve, it gets corrected.

Can I pay for part of the work now and the rest later?

The simplest way is to approve only the needed-now items today and book the can-wait items for a later visit, paying for each visit at its own pickup. The estimate already separates the two, so the advisor can show you which lines are safe to put off.
